Hollywood Poker is basically a sister site of Poker Room, but with big name celebrities. You could end up playing poker against one of them, they would have a big gold star against their name.
At Hollywood Poker you can play Holdem Poker (fixed, pot and no limit), Omaha Poker (hi and hi/lo), Seven Card Stud Poker (hi and hi/lo), and 5 Card Draw Poker.
Tournaments have buy-in's ranging from freerolls (free poker ) to $1,000. "Sit and go's" cost from $1 to $500. Cash poker games start at 15/30c and go up to $500/$1,000.
Layout
The online poker site is almost identical to that of Poker Room, but in red and not green. There are some other differences as well of course, like celebrities.
The Main Lobby interface is straightforward with tabs to choose the type of poker table to play, however a button needs to clicked to play cash poker games.
Having chosen to remain in the tournament department you can choose scheduled or sit and go tournaments. The sit and go allow a choice of 1, 2, or 3 poker table tournaments.
The actual tables then scroll down the left hand pane of the lobby. The right hand panel gives a nice summary of the tournament that you have highlighted. It shows number of entrants, prize pool, countdown clock etc. There is also an annoying chat box in the left hand pane
The site uses 10 player poker tables with fixed avatars, these are the same as Poker Room but they have had a clean, change of clothes, and the little old lady has lost here handbag.
Play is very simple with big buttons for your desired action. It does not have the facility to show what part of the world your opponents are from, personally I like to know that.
